Welcome!

We are a highly dynamic and diverse lab. We use the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster to address exciting questions in Neuroscience ranging from basic science to neurological diseases, including developmental mechanisms and aging-dependent degeneration.

You are welcome here! We celebrate diversity at all levels, not only cultural but also intellectual, as students can decide which project they want to work on or propose their very own one, as long as it can be studied in the Drosophila nervous system. Just be creative and we will work together to make it possible.

We also don’t forget to have fun! Our positive energy and optimistic mindset help us motivate each other, be resilient, and accomplish the required hard work.
